What Meets The Eye

This diptych was made to symbolize two different concepts that are linked with my heritage. The first piece represents the beauty of brown eyes. Since most people in Pakistan are born with brown eyes, and since it is a common eye color, I wanted to show how brown eyes are beautiful even though they are not rare. With the red piece, I wanted to represent the vibrance and spiritual side of my culture. The contrast between the two pieces shows the physical and internal aspects of my culture.
